Abraham L. Polonsky Awards

There are two separate Abraham L. Polonsky Awards. Please review each category and select the one appropriate.


Abraham L. Polonsky Undergraduate Award in Critical Writing

One $400 award

Class Level:

Academic Achievement:

Area of Emphasis:
An interest in critical writing.

Procedure for Student Applicants:
1. Complete the Scholarship Application Form available online or in the CTVA Department (MZ 195).

2. Applicant must submit a critical essay on a film topic, no less than 10 pages in length. The essay will be judged on both the substance of the content and the clarity and insightfulness of the argument.

3. Return all materials (stapled together with application form on top) to the CTVA Department no later than March 8, 2010.

 

Abraham L. Polonsky Graduate Award in Critical Writing

One $500 award

Class Level:

Academic Achievement:

Area of Emphasis:
An interest in critical writing.

Procedure for Student Applicants:
1. Complete the Scholarship Application Form available online or in the CTVA Department (MZ 195).

2. Applicant must submit a critical essay on a film topic, no less than 15 pages in length. The essay will be judged on both the substance of the content and the clarity and insightfulness of the argument.

3. Return all materials (stapled together with application form on top) to the CTVA Department no later than March 8, 2010.
